Rio Branco Atlético Clube, usually known simply as Rio Branco, is a Brazilian football (soccer) club based in the city of Vitória in the Espírito Santo state of Brazil. ==History== On June 15, 1913, a group of boys, which included Antônio Miguez, José Batista Pavão, Edmundo Martins, Nestor Ferreira Lima, Gervásio Pimentel, and Cleto Santos decided to found a football club, because they were not allowed to play in the existing ones. On June 21, 1913, at Ilha dos Amores, in Parque Moscoso neighborhood, in Vitória, they founded the club. The club was named Juventude e Vigor, and the official colors were green and yellow. On February 10, 1914, the club was renamed to ''Rio Branco Football Club'', in honor to the Baron of Rio Branco. On May 20, 1917, the club's colors were changed to black and white. In 1919, the club won its first title, the Campeonato da Cidade de Vitória (Vitória City Championship). In 1930, the club won its first state championship. From 1934 to 1939 the club won six state championships in a row. On March 18, 1941, the club was renamed to its current name, ''Rio Branco Atlético Clube''.
